Ischico Velzel is a young pianist. She is active as a solo pianist and chamber musician, and her playing has been described as 'effortlessly full of expression' and 'technically very fluid'. Ischico feels strongly connected to well-known and lesser-known Russian repertoire. She recently won first prize at 'The Lamond Prize'. A competition for unknown piano repertoire. There she was praised for her performance of Medtner's Sonate-Skazka. She also won prizes at the Princess Christina Competition and the Bender-Petro Competition.
