2ND EDITION | “Exploring the Art and Science of Fractal Burning” by resident Kris Gonzalez
Come by for this exhibition showcasing the mesmerising art of fractal burning, Lichtenberg burning, and wood fracking. You will be able to see the beauty of electricity as it creates intricate, lightning-like patterns on wood, revealing nature's hidden designs.
This pop-up show features a unique collection of small furniture pieces, each transformed by these techniques. Tables, chairs, and decor items that blend functionality with artistic craftsmanship, turning ordinary wood into extraordinary works of art. Perfect for art enthusiasts and interior design aficionados alike, this exposition offers a glimpse into the fusion of science and art in woodworking.
About Kris Gonzalez | Instagram
Kris Gonzalez’s work is mostly based on tattoos and body modification, a kind of practice that constantly takes her out of her comfort zone, exploring life through pain and uncomfortable moments. She likes to challenge others to do the same, to push their bodies and souls to feel and experience more. Considering herself an “alien in search of the unknown or unpleasant”, Kris comes from the Spanish countryside and grew up with her grandfather, who was a shepherd. Together they spent hours watching plants, animals and the sky. This gave her insight into the fractal patterns of nature and its power.
