Into the Woods ADE Festival is a house and techno festival part of Amsterdam Dance Event. Heading into its fourth edition at ADE, Into the Woods Festival is becoming an ingrained part of the festival.
Taking place on Friday and Saturday, the two-day event is a daytime affair, starting things off in the early afternoon and running till 23:00 at the famed NDSM cultural hub on the north side of the IJ River.
During ADE, Into the Woods which gives art, creativity and musicality every prio, transforms NDSM into the ideal festival site in six days of set-up time. On Friday and Saturday, they transform the Treehouse into an epic dance floor where the young light artists of Silence of The Light will have a place.
On Sunday, it's time for the Hang Over and the entire site is free to visit. Treehouse NDSM will host its own stage with a live stream connection with Kiev together with Gasoline Radio – a travelling radio station from Ukraine. You can expect live music performances and light shows from Treehouse artists in a cosy ‘living room’ environment, alternating with screened shows from young artists performing live at Kiev.
COME AND SEE:
- Relaxing ‘hangover’ music by Handpan musicians Deniz and Joris: Having met at the Museum plein over a decade ago, they tell beautiful stories reflecting emotions and personality with this special instrument.
- Show Pony by Laura Nygren: A playground for songs, electronics, and bass. “Uncompromisingly experimental, yet seductively accessible. Like Björk on a good day” – Beat Radar.
- YAN plays an electronic music with vibraphone, marimba and vintage synthesizers from the seventies and eighties in the base. Hushed and cinematic, but also danceable and sturdy.
- ‘Talking Trees’ by Bert Barten: Artist and composer Bert Barten gives trees a voice. Literally: You dance.
