This workshop is part of a Workshops Series entitled “HerArt” focusing on female artists and their work. The current workshop is dedicated to Georgia O’Keefe, an American artist. You will learn about her life, career, and techniques. In the first part of the workshop, there will be a drawing session where you will learn to capture the basic shapes of multiple flowers and some basics about the creation of your own color palette. In the second part of the workshop, you will create your own art piece.

Workshop breakdown:

‍Short introduction of the artist and of the group (15-20min)
Short history class about Georgia O’Keefe and her career. We will also talk about the main characteristics of Modern Art. Round of questions (30 min)
Group Activity: Drawing session where you will learn to capture the basic shapes of multiple flowers and some basics about the creation of a color palette.

Break (20 min)

Individual Art piece (70 min)
