For the first Autumn concert, Live at Our Place brings Sarah Blake and Lorenzo Servali Group for a jazzy evening with two different musical vibes.

Live at our Place is a series of monthly intimate concerts by Treehouse NDSM’s musicians-in-residence. Our industrial Pavilion building will be turned into the musicians’ own living room, tuned each time to their own particular style and vibe. We invite you to our place, grab a drink, sit on the couch (or dance!), and enjoy the tunes that our talented community is working on during their stay at Treehouse NDSM.

Our doors will open at 19h30 and Vegan Bear Chef will we waiting for you with some tasty vegan snacks. Also, between the two concerts he will delight you with a vegan Pasta all Bolognese made with minced tempeh slowly cooked with herbs, red wine and tomatoes. As garnish, basil and vegan parmesan!

ABOUT SARAH BLAKE

Sarah Blake is a singer-songwriter and storyteller from Cape Town, South Africa. Her jazzy/Brazilian/folky flavour, accompanied by her enticing stories, will have you laughing, crying, and reminiscing over lost loves and childhood memories. She butterflies between the double bass, electric bass, and guitar, and weaves her melodies effortlessly while doing so.

Accompanied this evening by fellow South African, Jeremy Olivier, the pair will perform tunes from Sarah’s latest album Food For Thought, available now on all streaming platforms.

ABOUT LORENZO SERVALI GROUP

The Lorenzo Servali Group is a collision of musicians from different backgrounds who have come together to realise the compositional vision of Lorenzo Servali. At Live at Our Place, they will be playing many songs from Lorenzo’s other project: iMPREViSTi.

At its core, the soul of the music lies with the immortal Bologna-grown singer-songwriter Lucio Dalla, with a Coltrane-powered message in a Pino Daniele tarumbò-style ambience. This combination is brought into the modern spectrum of sounds inspired by the productions of Moby and Massive Attack.

Lorenzo’s music is nostalgic, full of intimate and warm memories. His music is universal and his capacity to collaborate has caused his music to absorb the influence of his co-musicians and direct musical environment.
