Another fantastic jazz evening at Live at Our Place, this time bringing three seasoned musicians with the Golek, Heineking & Luther Trio; and the modern and emotional style of Linde Tillmanns Sextet.

For our March edition of Live at Our Place, the Golek, Heineking & Luther Trio will bring a jazz and contemporary programme consisting of song adaptations by The Beatles and Thelonious Monk, as well as original music. The Linde Tillmans Sextet will follow, bringing a lyrical, through-composed singer/songwriter jazz performance that paints different emotions and tells personal stories.

ABOUT GOLEK - HEINEKING - LUTHER TRIO

The trio 'Golek - Heineking - Luther' (GHL) joined forces around the theme 'Monk meets The Beatles'. The programme consists of arrangements, song adaptations of The Beatles, Thelonious Monk, and original music composed by the trio. This performance serves as an imaginary musical meeting between these 2 music giants and the members of the trio.

ABOUT DAVID GOLEK 

Guitarist & composer David Golek is active in the Jazz scene as well as in World-music groups. His personal recognisable style and music language suit a wide range of musical directions. David has always been interested in expressing his own musical identity, inspired by his varied musical exposure, his roots & life journey. Having a classical and jazz music education, living in different parts of the world, and speaking several languages, inspired him to want to widen his musical horizons and perspective but on the other hand to also connect to his own roots.

ABOUT LINDE TILLMANNS 

Pianist and composer Linde Tillmanns makes modern, free music in different constellations; sextet, trio, solo. The songs tell either personal stories or paint an emotion, colour, or momentum. One might hear meditative qualities, spacious sounds, lyrical pieces, something contained, something disjointed. Her sound on keys can be recognised by her ardent, expressionist playing. Last year, she released her debut album, ‘Stillness, Chaos, Thoughts, Feelings’, which contained both trio and sextet pieces.
