This workshop is part of a Workshops Series entitled “HerArt” focussing on female artists and their work. The current workshop is dedicated to Frida Kahlo, a Mexican artist. You will learn about her life, career, and techniques.

In the first part of the workshop, there will be a drawing session where we will learn the main characteristics of a portrait, and you will create a portrait of another participant. In the second part of the workshop, you will create a self-portrait with a narrative about yourself.

Workshop breakdown:

Short introduction of the artist and of the group (15-20min)
Short history class about Frida Kahlo and her career.
We will also talk about the main characteristics of Portraiture.
