Through community art project ‘Bonds per stitch’ artist Rucha Kulkarni work with five women from different cultural backgrounds to explore the idea of 'home in foreign land', through their textiles and memories associated with it. During this project, Rucha will conduct a workshop on traditional Indian hand quilting technique for recycling fabrics for the participating women. Together they will quilt and make textile art installation, reflecting upon the personal experiences about their mobility and the evolution of the idea of home while having multicultural belongings. The outcome of the project will be exhibited in Treehouse NDSM from the 1st to 9th Feb 2025. There will also be an opening evening of the project on the Jan 31 at 18h, see you there!
