NDSM OPEN is the annual open day of the community of artists and makers in NDSM LOODS – KUNSTSTAD. This year again, Treehouse NDSM is joining by, not only opening the doors of normally closed ateliers, but also offering workshops, an exhibition, studio concerts & studio tours.

Once you have learned the basic recipe for making fresh pasta, unleash your creativity and make colored pasta using natural ingredients or pasta decorated with herbs and flowers!

14h - 15h: [SOLD OUT] Explore the World of Clay by Helga van Stralen (Dutch/English)

Model a statue under expert guidance, from developing the idea through the techniques needed to make an abstract or figurative statue.

16h - 17h: From Caves to Canvas, a Collective Mural by Naomi Mitsuko Makkelie & Ellen Makkelie (Dutch/English)

A journey through art’s evolution, we will create a collective mural bridging ancient traditions and modern expressions.

16h - 17h: Afro/Caribbean hair care – Braids by Mer (Dutch/English)

Do you want to learn the basics of how to care for Afro/Caribbean hair? Then this is the workshop for you!

Twelve artists reflect on the meaning of the presence (or absence) of Nature in the city.  In what aspect is the cohabitation and protection of other species essential for human life and survival?

Unearthed: participatory installation by Vico Persson

Join the artist in uncovering the history of the lost bits and pieces and help grow the collection by crafting your own clay replica.
