Date: December 3 Time: 13h-16h30 Entrance: Free
It is time to say goodbye to our exhibition 'Labours of Love'. On Sunday December 3rd at 13h, we will celebrate the ending of this group show on a high note. We invite you to join us for two performances: "Softer...no...Softer!" by Divine Nonbinary and "The Witch's Interrogation" by Rachel Walker-Konno. We also invite the audience to join a conversation about "Caring for each other in troubled times" with the participating artists.
ABOUT LABOURS OF LOVE
In order to face the climate catastrophe we find ourselves in, changing the balance of our current social system - which is rooted in patriarchal, colonial and extractivist modes of thinking -, is essential. This combat lies not only in dismantling dangerous structures, but also in caring for each other, whether human or non-human. From raising children, growing a food forest to carving a sculpture, these labours of love can change our destiny.
In this context, the group exhibition Labours of Love aims to celebrate all of these labours of love, and share the ways in which they form eco-feminist solutions to the climate crisis. The show was part of the Warming Up Festival’s programme organised by Tolhuistuin.
