Treehouse NDSM is an arts incubator on the site of the former NDSM shipyard, on the bank of the IJ River in Amsterdam-North. Treehouse offers more than 100 studios, an exhibition- and performance hall, a work hall, common meeting spaces, a courtyard, and terrace. The complex is a small village built over two floors using recycled sea containers and construction cabins. Apart from renting out studio spaces for creatives in all disciplines, we also organise exhibitions, festivals, concerts, art markets, and more.

JOB DESCRIPTION 

‍

The communication intern will be working closely with the communication manager and extensively with a diverse array of communication professionals, graphic designers and artists.

‍

We are looking for a dynamic individual who will help us to bring more awareness to Treehouse NDSM’s mission and share creative endeavours far and wide. You will create content that seamlessly connects with targeted communities while helping develop the content strategy further, as well as working on our online presence in an innovative way. 

‍

Think of doing interviews with artists, (social media) content about Treehouse events and exhibitions, managing our monthly newsletter and supporting the PR strategies! In addition, you will manage the content calendar and ensure that it is executed (for the website, newsletter and socials) and you keep a grip on the results by closely monitoring all channels and proactively suggesting adjustments to our strategy based on this data.

YOUR PROFILE

‍

· You have a demonstrable affinity with art and culture

· You are following a higher vocational education in the direction of Communication , Marketing, or a related field

. You have some expertise in social media strategy

· You have a fluent pen, both in Dutch and English

· You easily approach someone and are able to 'level up' with artists

· You are not afraid to take the initiative and to present and implement your own ideas

· You have experience working in Photoshop/Indesign/Illustrator

· You are available at least 32 hours a week, days are in consultation
